Top 100 Greatest Movies All-Time: The Recap and Analysis

I know. I know. I said that I would put this up a week ago, but I didn't. But I'm putting it up now! So never fear! Anyways, here is the master list of all 100 films that I ranked in my top 100, and also with some breakdowns of the list and some of my greatest regrets from the list. Hit the jump for the breakdown.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 6: 5 - 1

This is it. The end of the list. My Top Five films of All-Time. Tomorrow I'm going to be doing a full write-up where I list all 100 movies and include a run-down of things like, most appearances by an actor or director with most appearances on the list. But that'll be tomorrow's thing. Hit the jump for the top 5.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 5: 15 - 5

We're getting to the end now people, with only fifteen movies left. I'm thinking about doing a quick run-down of every movie from the list, so that could be tomorrow or the next day since I'll wait until after the top 5 are published. Anyways, hit the jump for 15 to number 6.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 4: 25 - 15

And here we go. Now we're in the top 25, and I'm going to be running them down with full descriptions for why they are ranked where they are. I have to admit that I had really big plans today to do this and then another couple comic book posts including introducing a new feature, but I got rediculously drunk last night and spent the day recuperating on my couch. Tomorrow I will be making several posts, so look for those then. Hit the jump for the films.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 3: 50 - 25

Hey gang, here's the last post before we get into my top 25 movies all-time, so I hope you enjoy the last of the "bottom" 75. Again, I'll be listing 25 movies here, with a brief write-up explanation of why that movie for certain films that I choose to defend. Again, this is based on my theory of there being two kinds of films, quality films and entertaining awesome films with both types getting equal weight. Hit the jump for 50 through 26.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 2: 75 - 50

Hey all, so I'm back with part 2 of my choices for the 100 greatest movies all-time. Basically, I'm going to be counting them down 25 at a time until the top 25 which will get posted 5 at a time with full descriptions for why they are ranked there. Again, I'm picking these movies based on the rationale of that there are good, quality-made films and there are really entertaining, or awesome, films. In my list, both kinds of movies are given equal weight. Let's get to the list shall we? Hit the jump.

100 Greatest Movies All-Time Pt. 1 - 100-75

Welcome everybody to my list of the 100 Greatest Movies of All-Time! So a brief introduction to how I'm going to be doing this and also a quick run-down of the criteria for the movie. First things first, I'm going to be counting down from 100 to 1, with the bottom 75 presented in three seperate posts of 25 each where they will pretty much just be listed, with a few movies getting specific explanations for why they are there. And then the top 25 will be in posts of 5 where I will do a write-up for every film. As for the qualifications, I'm going to be including films that would never have won any academy awards, because in my mind there are two kinds of films: good movies and awesome movies. While there are cases where a film can be both good and be considered awesome, for the most part a film is one or the other. A good film is a real quality film that is very well put together and beautiful to watch, like Schindler's List, whereas an awesome film is just a movie that is completely bad-ass, like Die Hard. So in my mind, I am giving both kinds of movies equal weight when considering my favorite 100 movies. Hit the jump for 100 - 75.
